Prayers For a Better Tomorrow
Where do I begin? Do I start with all the earthquakes in Mexico and Japan, the devastating hurricanes that have recently flooded, flattened and reshaped Texas, Florida, Mexico, and Puerto Rico? The violence in Charlottesville, mass shootings, terrorism, protests, to kneel or not to kneel, questionable healthcare, a President who causes a divide, vans mowing down people, a massacre in Vegas and other acts of cruelty seen and unseen that video cameras and reporters have not yet or choose to not expose around the world? I’m not a political writer, sociology expert and definitely not a meteorologist, but I do know there is a view I want to express that I hope will eventually promote a ripple effect for a healthier, stronger tomorrow.
At first, I didn’t know why that at the start of 2017, I had this hovering feeling that I couldn’t be completely happy with the New Year kick-off. It felt like some kind of energy was brewing or being taunted that would soon want to break free. And now almost three months left of 2017, I see where my intuition was correct. I almost feel as if this year is still new, like I haven’t completely claimed it or accepted it yet, and I’m still trying to get used to the change of seeing “2017” because of all that has been occurring. Despite all this, I’ve had some personal happiness mixed in along with the joy of watching others in my life, celebrate their precious life moments.
However, around all this, our world has been bubbling and erupting more than ever, trying to get our attention like never before.
We are all made of energy and everything we do or say contributes to that energy and how we interact with each other and how all of our lives are intertwined in some way. For all the violence, whether near or far, and all the natural disasters, there must start an energetic chain to help balance out what’s trying to break us all apart. I propose something that doesn’t require voting, debating, lawmaking or energy saving. I’m promoting something that to some will think is too naïve, simple, or just not enough. And to some degree its true—it isn’t enough—we have to match our thoughts with our intentions, but the power of prayer I feel is more important than ever before—but it shouldn’t be saved after something tragic happens.
We have to pray daily and send “preparation prayers” out before something else happens. And this is not to say that something horrific won’t happen tomorrow or an hour from now, but I do believe, as naïve as some might think I am, prayer is going to be, in the long run, what will help us through. I’m not going to type here and argue whether guns or people are the problems or whether global warming is real or not. I know very soon these crucial topics will be revisited and how we can help the right decisions to come about, is prayer.
Prayer can come from any religion, culture and every corner of the world. Prayer can even be in the form of affirmations. As long as it's in a positive light that is going to allow us to put our energetic armor on and shield for our world. As an Angelic Life Coach and someone who channels Guardian Angel messages, I feel this is something more than ever needed right now. There are those that feel, “Well where are the Angels, or God in unthinkable times like these? “I’ve lost my father, mother, sister, brother, my belongings, my town!”
There is no simple answer to this loss and at times no real reasoning. For the most part, we are at the mercy of those and their free will. We all have it and choose to do whatever we want-- and unfortunately, there are those that choose beyond unwise. For natural disasters that wreak havoc in our areas--it’s the scary truth that Mother Nature just limits our complete control. The Angels can’t intervene with our free will or the weather. Our Angels though are there to help us get through these times and to prepare emotionally ahead of time, if we allow that guidance to flow within.
As I mentioned earlier, praying only when something devastating happens in this world is not enough—prayer needs to be a daily routine. Just like we pray or ask for help regarding your career, health, relationships we now must extend our prayers daily for the security of the world at every level of interest. Let’s start this energetic chain and not give up on the home we live in. Below is my version of what we could pray about. Please feel free to edit it the way you see fit or pray to whomever you are comfortable with.
Where there is love, there is light and there will be life.
My angels, please watch over our planet & every inhabitant: humans of every culture, wildlife and plant life, ocean life daily. Please keep all of us secure, loved and provided for with all the resources—inside and outside that we need. Please watch over those who live in areas where their safety is threatened daily by violence both near and far, and those who live in natural disaster-prone areas. Please help all those affected by all this, find peace, closure and the strength to rebuild their lives and their faith during and after tragedy strikes.
Please help us all become physically, emotional and mentally ready and aware to forge ahead to be the change we want to see in this world. Please help motivate us to find new creative/peaceful ways to bring serenity and sanity back into this world. Please help us to be patient with others and with ourselves and not to see color, race or gender in others, but rather a glowing, loving, thriving life. Please help us to still see the beautiful thread that runs deep through us living on this planet working together to make us stronger. Thank you for your faith in us and all the good that we are capable of creating in this world. Please continue to show/remind us of all the good we are capable of and all the good that still remains. Thank you for giving us laughter, joy, comfort amongst those we love and thank you for the tears in reminding us that we can be healed and that we have lived a good life. Please continue to send us messages of guidance, inspiration, and comfort and help us to constantly recognize your help and to give us the confidence to answer the call in making a difference to the world outside and to the world within our hearts.
